Road Trip Through the Mountains

There's something magical about driving through mountains at dawn, when the fog lifts from the valleys and the peaks catch the first golden light.

The Route

We started in Zurich, wound through the Gotthard Pass, and ended up in small villages that don't appear on most tourist maps. The plan was simple: follow the most interesting-looking roads.

Hidden Gems

The best discovery was a tiny village called Soglio, perched on a mountainside with views that made us pull over every few minutes just to stare. The local bakery served the best bread I've ever tasted.

Lessons Learned

Sometimes the best trips are the ones without a strict itinerary. We met locals, stumbled upon festivals, and found viewpoints that weren't in any guidebook. The mountains have a way of reminding you to slow down.
